Reports indicate that at Weerawat Yothin Camp Hospital in Surin Province, a ceremony was held to receive and send off the bodies of the brave heroes, Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakon (or Sergeant Roeng) and Private Phanupat Sausa (or Private Woon), soldiers who died while performing their duties in the Thai-Cambodian border area. The ceremony was conducted with full honors amidst an atmosphere of profound sadness.

During the ceremony, heads of military departments, veterans, and personnel lined up to pay their respects as the bodies of the brave soldiers were returned to their hometowns. Meanwhile, along the Surin-Prasat road, people waved Thai flags to express their grief and honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Thailand.

Mrs. Aun Klangprakhon, 79 years old, the mother, along with the wife and children of Sergeant Roeng, came to receive the body. The mother expressed her joy at her son’s honorable service in protecting the nation, while simultaneously shedding tears at the irreversible loss of her beloved son.
